Of the 120,000 tech workers who were recently laid off across the country, it is estimated that over 10,000 are international tech talents with an H-1B visa.
Time is of the essence when these workers are laid off as they have only 60 days to get a new job, switch their visa or leave the U.S. What is not well known or understood is that it is relatively easy to switch the worker’s H-1B visa from an old to a new employer.
We will discuss the overall tech talent needs in the region, the opportunities available in sectors like advanced manufacturing, agtech, biosciences, cybersecurity, fintech and geospatial (both in STL and remote) as well as a testimonial from a company that has gone through the process of transferring H1B visas and how to go about doing so efficiently.
