Speakers
Mr. Micah Hostetter, Director, Missouri International Trade & Investment Office – China
Mr. Hostetter has lived in China for over a decade and is fluent in Mandarin. He possesses deep experience in both the government and private sectors and specializes in helping small to medium sized companies achieve their business objectives in China, Mr. Hostetter has particular experience in advanced materials, agtech and renewable energy. He has a Master’s degree in International Studies from Johns Hopkins SAIS in Najing, China.
Mr. Richard Lyle, Director, Missouri International Trade & Investment Office – Japan
Mr. Lyle has spent 27 years in Japan and is a fluent Japanese speaker. He has experience across a broad range of industries and sectors, among them advanced manufacturing and food and beverage. He has delivered over 100 trade related projects for Missouri companies over the past five years. Mr. Lyle has developed an extensive network in Japan and was President of the American State Offices Association in 2017.
Mr. Joseph Lenox, Director, Missouri International Trade & Investment Office – Korea
Mr. Lenox has lived in Korea since 2006 and is fluent in Korean. He has worked across a range of sectors including the public sector in Korea, handling both trade and foreign direct investment. Prior experience include stints at the Department of Defense and the Asia Foundation in Korea. Mr. Lenox was a recipient of the State Department’s Critical Language Scholarship and has a Master’s degree in International Relations from Seoul National University and a Bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University.
Mr. Adeel Ahmad, Associate Director, Missouri International Trade & Investment Office – Korea
Mr. Ahmad has more than ten years experience working in both the public and private sectors in Korea. His areas of expertise include consumer electronics, materials, aerospace/defense and advanced manufacturing. He has managed over 100 trade requests from Missouri companies, providing a range of export services. Mr. Ahmad has experience handling Foreign direct investment projects with both Korean SMEs and major conglomerates. He is a graduate of the University of Toronto and is fluent in Korean.
