International Tax – Export Incentives will explore incentives available to US-based companies, such as IC-DISC, available to manufacturers, producers, re-sellers, and exporters and FDII (Foreign-Derived Intangible Income) available to C corporations. Tax treaties which can reduce or eliminate tax on US companies in certain jurisdictions, European BEPS (Basic Erosion and Position Shifting), withholding taxes, protecting cash-slow and pitfalls to avoid will also be discussed.

Speakers
Kirk Wonio

Mr. Wonio is a partner in RubinBrown’s Federal Tax Services and Manufacturing & Distribution Services Groups. He specializes in international taxation and advises on international and federal tax matters providing high level and technical guidance. Mr. Wonio concentrates on clients in manufacturing and distribution, many of which are owned by private equity firms, but works with clients in various industries.

Prior to joining RubinBrown in 2010, he spent five years working with multi-national clients at a Big 4 public accounting firm in Chicago.

Joseph Riezman
Mr. Riezman is a tax manager in Rubin Brown’s Federal Tax Services Group. He has multiple years of experience in federal, international, and SALT compliance, with both corporate and flow-through entities. Mr. Riezman also advises clients on tax due diligence in the M&A process.  He is a licensed CPA in the state of Missouri.

Sun Tie
Ms. Tie is on staff in RubinBrown’s Federal Tax Services and International Tax Groups. She has hands-on experience preparing federal, international, and state and local returns for a variety of corporate and pass-through clients. Ms. Tie is a CPA, licensed by the state of Missouri.
