Speakers
Mr. James Robinson, Director, Missouri International Trade & Investment Office – Greater China
Mr. Robinson has extensive experience in cross-border trade and investment practices. He provides customized services to clients on market entry strategy, policy and regulation research, and stakeholder analysis. He is also an expert in helping clients build partnerships and strengthen cooperation with key government agencies, industry associations, and business partners in Greater China. He is a frequent speaker on the evolving role of business in society as well as U.S.-China trade and investment. Mr. Robinson graduated with both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Oriental (China) studies from the University of Cambridge and speaks Mandarin proficiently.

Ms. Cherry Li, Trade Specialist, Missouri International Trade & Investment Office – Mainland China
During the past two years, Ms. Li has worked closely with clients in various industries such as automobile, medical, food, and manufacturing and provides tailored assistance for Missouri companies interested in exporting to or investing in China. In addition, she also connects with Chinese companies willing to go overseas through partnerships with Missouri companies or individually. Ms. Li works with the team to support Missouri companies in identifying and communicating with appropriate partners in China, and provides relevant background information to reduce potential business risks. Ms. Li earned her master’s degree in journalism and communications from Shanghai University and is fluent in Mandarin and English.

Ms. Astrid Xu, Trade Specialist, Missouri International Trade & Investment Office – Hong Kong
Ms. Xu has worked closely with clients to provide customized market research, agent and distributor research, due diligence, trade show and trade mission services. To date she has served clients spanning a variety of sectors, including advanced manufacturing, food and beverage, health science, bioscience, education and clean technology. In addition to trade promotion, Ms. Xu also works with the team on promoting the State of Missouri as an ideal destination for outbound investment to Chinese investors. Ms. Xu holds a Master of Philosophy Degree in food and nutritional sciences from the University of Hong Kong, and a Master of Social Science degree in corporate communication from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
