Tri-City Regional Port District Tri-City Regional Port District since its establishment in 1959, has become one of the fastest growing ports in the U.S. Inland Waterways System. The Port recently received about 600 acres of neighboring property from the U.S. Government that once served as a U.S. Army Base, now called River's Edge. The Port is developing the property as a residential, industrial, recreational and commercial development. The Port soon will be adding a new harbor that will greatly increase commodity flow into and out of the area. Each year the Port handles more than 2,500 barges, equating to four million tons of product. The Tri-City Port is the only full-service, public port in the St. Louis area.

The U.S. Commercial Service The U.S. Commerical Service of the U.S. Department of Commerce is a federal government agency dedicated to helping small-to-medium sized Missouri state companies develop international markets. Their experienced staff of International Trade Specialists can assist with: identifying and evaluate international partners, navigating international documentation challenges, and other export related guidance.

The U.S. Export Assistance Centers located in St. Louis part of an international network of global professionals with 165 offices in 82 countries throughout the world.

WISER - The Massachusetts Institute for Social and Economic Research (MISER) (WISER) The Massachusetts Institute for Social and Economic Research (MISER) was founded in 1981 by the University of Massachusetts. MISER is an interdisciplinary research institute of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. It provides a variety of services to the University, the Commonwealth, and to national and international audiences. The foreign trade unit at MISER provides timely export and import statistics to clients located across the U.S. and around the world. Each quarter MISER produces its state export data series. MISER also provides monthly exports and imports by detailed Harmonized System commodity code. In 1992 MISER developed its Accelerated eXport Enhancement System (AXES) software for quick, online access to the latest trade data and data trends. MISER responds quickly to data requests, produces customized reports, and provides statistical analysis of foreign trade data.
